Tamanu Oil is extracted from the nuts of the Tamanu Tree, which is indigenous to tropical Southeast Asia and is mostly found in Vietnam, Thailand, South India, Sri Lanka, and the Melanesian and Polynesian islands. How to use Tamanu Oil

If you're wondering, how do you use Tamanu Oil, there are endless possibilities! Below we've listed a few of our favourites:

• Directly on the Skin: Organic Tamanu Oil can be applied directly to your skin for a variety of uses such as an anti-ageing facial oil, healing acne serum or antifungal foot remedy. You can use it on its own, however due to its thick nature, we recommend combining it with another carrier oil such as Almond Oil or Jojoba Oil for a more desirable consistency.
• Scar Treatment: Tamanu Oil makes a fantastic scar treatment oil and can be applied directly to any scarring you would like to reduce. You can also combine it with some drops of complimenting Essential Oils such as Frankincense, Lavender or Helichrysum.
• Face Mask: Together with a natural clay powder such as our French Clays, you can make a soothing and healing face mask. Using non-metal utensils/bowl, mix together 1 tbsp Clay powder, ½ tsp Tamanu Oil (or 1-2 pumps from our 100ml bottles), and a few drops of water until a smooth paste is formed - add more water a couple of drops at a time until desired consistency is achieved. Apply to your clean face for 10-15 minutes, rinse off, and finish with a moisturizer or serum.
• Skincare Addition: Did you know, carrier oils can be added to your existing skincare products? Tamanu Oil is an excellent option to add to one of your products you already use to help boost its benefits - try a pump or two in your daily moisturizer or skin serum.

Note: In cooler ambient room temperatures, Tamanu Oil may turn semi-solid or solidify completely due to its high concentration of fatty acids, however gentle warming with bring it back to its original liquid state. We recommend to shake the bottle well before each use.
