PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is an ingredient that is used as a non-ionic solubilizer, emulsifier, surfactant, emollient & cleansing agent in cosmetics and personal care product formulations. It is obtained from the polyethylene glycol derivatives of hydrogenated castor oil.

It is soluble in both water and oil, and typically is used to solubilize and emulsify formulations that contain water and oil (oil-in-water formulations). How to use PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil

PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is an ingredient that may take some practice to master, however it is an invaluable ingredient for many cosmetic and personal care formulations.

To use, add directly to the oil phase of your formulation. Once well combined, the water phase can then be added. Stir vigorously whilst adding the water phase and only add slowly - if the water is added too quickly, the solution may become turbid/cloudy.
