AWO’s Natural Emulsifying Wax (PolyAquol 2W) is an all- naturally derived, Polyglycerol based self-emulsifier ideal for O/W emulsions. It is preservative free, non-ionic, not ethoxylated and PEG-Free making it gentle on skin and suitable for sensitive skin formulations.

Due to its composition, it contains lipophilic structures that are similar to the configuration our skin surface making it ideal to integrate with the lipid matrix of our skin barrier. It has excellent moisturizing properties, protects and repairs skin barrier function as well as restores skin microflora.

Ideal for use in Creams, Lotions, Facial Cleansers, Hair Conditioners, Skin Care, Hand & Body Care, Nail Care, Self-Tanners, After-Sun Care, and various other cosmetics.

How to use PolyAquol 2W (Natural Emulsifying Wax)

PolyAquol 2W is an ingredient that may take some practice to master, however it is an invaluable ingredient for many cosmetic and personal care formulations.

PolyAquol 2W should be added in the heated water or oil phase of your formulation. It must be melted in order to incorporate/work correctly.
Adding to the water phase will result in a thinner emulsion, whereas adding it to the oil phase will result in a thicker emulsion.
