Kombo Butter

Kombo Butter is derived from wild harvested seeds of the Kombo tree, also known by many as the ‘African nutmeg’. This unrefined butter is extracted by expeller pressing the seeds to preserve its fantastic properties, including its lovely nutty aroma. The product is brown to dark brown in colour, a soft texture at room temperate provides a goodness including 75% Trimyristin, which is a myristic acid derivative which is commonly used in the treatment of joint and muscle aches. It also carries anti-inflammatory properties which is why it is often used in Africa to tackle burns/scars & wound ailments.

Due to its natural emollient, it is often used to soften and smooth dry skin. Kombo butter is not as oily as other skincare butters when applied; it quickly sinks into the skin. It may also appear slightly grainy in parts, but this melts away on skin contact.
