EUCALYPTUS KOCHII ESSENTIAL OIL

Open a bottle of Kochii Eucalyptus Essential Oil (pronounced ko-chee-eye) and you’ll instantly feel like you’re in the heart of the Australian bushland.

One of hundreds of Eucalyptus types originating in Australia, the crisp-scented Kochii variety has been used medicinally by Indigenous Australians for several millennia, with the plant serving as a tonic for gastro-intestinal issues; nowadays, its leaves are steam distilled to produce a fresh and slightly woody-smelling oil that is said to relax the mind and stimulate the senses – not to mention relief from a host of health issues.

This Eucalypt is particularly effective as an essential oil due to its rich content of Cineole, a natural terpene that can help fight colds, calm inflammation, heal wounds, and enrich the skin. Used by aromatherapists and as a natural fragrance in cosmetics, personal care and household cleaning products, AWO’s Kochii Eucalyptus Oil is ready to refresh your mind and body.

  • Rich in 1,8-Cineole and containing a host of other terpenes, Eucalyptus Oil is abundant in therapeutic and healing properties.
  • Cineole is said to relieve symptoms of respiratory conditions like asthma, bronchitis, and sinusitis. Its decongestant properties can help clear airways, reduce mucus, and make breathing easier.
  • The antimicrobial and antibacterial properties in Eucalyptus Oil can help fight off viruses and is often used as a natural remedy for colds, sore throats, and infections.
  • The anti-inflammatory effects of Kochii Eucalyptus Oil can help reduce swelling and provide relief to those suffering conditions like arthritis.
  • With mild analgesic properties, Eucalyptus Oil can help alleviate muscle or joint pain when applied topically.
  • Antibacterial properties, Eucalyptus Oil acts as a natural skin cleanser and can provide a cooling effect for conditions like acne.
  • Antioxidant properties in Eucalyptus Oil fight against free radicals and may help minimise the signs of ageing.
  • Astringent properties in Kochii Eucalyptus Oil promote skin cell regeneration and help heal minor wounds, cuts and abrasions.
  • Notably, Kochii Eucalyptus Oil has the potential to enhance cognitive function and mental clarity, thanks to its refreshing scent and stimulating properties.
  • The high concentration of cineole in Eucalyptus Kochii acts as a natural insect repellent and is particularly effective for deterring mosquitoes and other biting insects.
