ANISEED ESSENTIAL OIL

With a rich, sweet and soothing aroma, Aniseed Essential Oil is an all-natural solution fast becoming popular in aromatherapy and wellness circles.

While the Ancient Egyptians used Aniseed for medicinal and culinary purposes, you’ll often find it used today as a fragrance for perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics thanks to its liquorice-like scent. Yet the powerful healing properties in Aniseed Oil have elevated its status among essential oils fans, making it highly sought-after by those looking to support their overall health naturally.

Not to be confused with Star Anise (which comes from a different plant), the calming and healing abilities of Aniseed Oil can help with all types of ailments from easing digestive issues to reducing inflammation and supporting the skin.

  • Key constituent trans-Anethole, an organic phenylpropanoid found in plants, gives Aniseed Oil its wide-ranging health properties.
  • Anti-microbial, anti-viral, antibacterial and antioxidant properties in Aniseed Oil may help promote a balanced immune system.
  • The antispasmodic properties in Aniseed Oil are useful for alleviating spasms and cramps, especially in the digestive tract.
  • When diluted and applied topically, Aniseed Oil is said to help ease digestive issues, reducing symptoms of indigestion, bloating, and gas.
  • Aniseed Oil is said to have extensive anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce swelling and pain caused by injuries or sore, tired muscles.
  • The same properties promote Aniseed Oil's capabilities as a natural treatment of joint pain and complex conditions like arthritis and rheumatism.
  • Antioxidant properties in Aniseed effectively fight free radicals and prevent oxidative stress, making this a popular oil for anti-ageing
  • Antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties in Aniseed Oil help to repair minor wounds, cleansing the skin and promoting healing while preventing infection.
  • The key constituents in Aniseed Oil combine to support overall respiratory health, providing relief from congestion, coughs and colds.
  • Used in aromatherapy for its calming effects, Aniseed Oil can help to boost the mood and remove feelings of anxiety
  • Aniseed Oil is thought to mimic the hormone estrogen, assisting women going through menopause to reduce symptoms like hot flushes, fatigue and dry skin.
  • The natural insecticidal properties of Aniseed make this oil a helpful measure against pests, including mosquitoes.
